It used to be I'd go to the gym with self loathing as my motivation. Now that is gone. My health has never been in danger due to weight, I haven't ever become that heavy. So health isn't a motivator. I was having problems because I still want to lose weight, but couldn't find a reason to. Talking with a friend who works at the gym I go to, he made it quite clear. He told me that when he sees me there working out, I'm smiling and having fun. Which means going to the gym isn't something I dread doing anymore, it has become something I enjoy and get to do. So much for needing a motivator!
Old: have to go to gym because I hate my body and need to change it.
New: get to go to the gym because it is fun and I enjoy using this body which I love.
Yeah, keeping the new perspective.
